Annex 1 - Mandatory Conditions
The restrictions on the times during which the licence authorises the sale by retail of alcohol on the premises, set out in part M of the Licensable Activities section of this licence do not prohibit:
(a) during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of
the alcohol from the premises unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
(b) consumption of the alcohol on the premises or the taking of sale or supply of alcohol to
any person residing in the licensed premises;
(c) the ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the despatch by the vendor of
the alcohol so ordered;
(d) the sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club;
(e) the sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or
supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an
authorised mess of members of Her Majesty’s naval, military or air forces;
(f) the taking of alcohol from the premises by a person residing there; or
(g) the supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises to any private friends of a person
residing there who are bona fide entertained by him at his own expense, or the
consumption of alcohol by persons so supplied; or
(h) the supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises to persons employed there for the
purposes of the business carried on by the holder of the licence, or the consumption of
liquor so supplied, if the liquor is supplied at the expense of their employer or of the
person carrying on or in charge of the business on the premises.
No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:-
(a) at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises
licence,
or
(b) at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or
his personal licence is suspended.
Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
No irresponsible sales promotions of alcoholic beverages shall be offered to customers.
All Staff shall have received suitable training with regard to the implications of the Licensing Act 2003.
All staff shall have received suitable training in relation to the proof of age scheme to be applied upon the premises. Records to evidence this shall be made available to an authorised officer upon request.
The premises shall be operated in participation with the ‘Pubwatch’ scheme.
A daily safety audit of the premises shall be undertaken.
Appropriate fire fighting equipment shall be maintained at the premises.
Appropriate emergency lighting shall be maintained at the premises.
Appropriate smoke alarms and heat detectors shall be maintained at the premises.
All fire exits at the premises shall be clearly indicated by appropriate illuminated signs.
All emergency exits at the premises shall remain unobstructed at all times.
An annual check, by the relevant bodies, shall be undertaken to ensure that all safety features and measures are being complied with.
Any bottle skip at the premises shall be emptied during the day.
Whenever regulated entertainment is taking place, windows and doors, save for entrance and exit purposes, shall be kept shut.
Customers shall not be permitted entry to the premises after 11.30pm Monday to Thursday and after 1.00am on Friday to Sunday.
No one under the age of 16 shall be allowed to enter or remain on the premises after 22:00 hours.
All gaming and cigarette machines shall located in such a position that they can be easily observed from the bar.
Staff shall assist customers in obtaining taxis to ensure that they vacate the premises quickly and quietly.
Any outside areas shall ceased to be used for the consumption of alcohol no later than 22.00 hours on any day.
Annex 3 - Conditions attached after a hearing by the licensing authority
The premises shall be operated in accordance with the principles outlined by the ‘Nightsafe’ Scheme, as are relevant to those premises and indicated in the associated leaflet.
All staff shall have received suitable training in relation to the proof of age scheme to be applied upon the premises. Records to evidence this shall be made available to an authorised officer upon request.
Appropriate measures shall be taken to ensure that staff prevent the removal of bottles or glasses from the curtilage and grounds of the licensed premises.
Only toughened glass vessels shall be used to dispense beer to customers.
At least one personal licence holder shall be available while the supply or sale of alcohol is being undertaken (who’s identity will be known to all other staff engaged in the supply or sale of alcohol) except in the case of emergency.
