Annex 1 - Mandatory Conditions
Permitted Hours
The restrictions on the times during which the licence authorises the sale by retail of alcohol on the premises, set out in part M of the Licensable Activities section of this licence do not prohibit:
() during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of the alcohol from the premises unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
() during the first thirty minutes after the above hours the consumption of the alcohol on the premises by persons taking meals there if the alcohol was supplied for consumption as ancillary to the meals;
() consumption of the alcohol on the premises or the taking of sale or supply of alcohol to any person residing in the premises.
No off sales
Suitable non-alcoholic beverages, including drinking water, shall be equally available for consumption with or otherwise as an ancillary to meals served in the licensed premises.
The premises must be bona fide used for the purpose of habitually providing for the accommodation of persons frequenting the premises, substantial refreshment to which the sale and supply of intoxicating liquor is ancillary.
Intoxicating liquor shall not be sold or supplied on the premises otherwise than to:
) persons having table meals at the said premises for consumption by such persons as an ancillary to their meals.
) persons attending bona fide functions held in the function room on the first floor of the said premises.
Annex 2 - Conditions Consistent with the Operating Schedule
All staff shall receive suitable training in relation to the Licensing Act 2003.
There shall be displayed at the premises a sign, which is clearly visible to those visiting the premises containing details of the hours during which the premises will be open to the public and restrictions on the supply of alcohol.
The Designated Premises Supervisor and all members of staff will ensure that all lawful instructions and/or directions given by the Police are complied with.
The maximum number of persons permitted in the premises shall:-
On the ground floor be restricted to 150
In the function room be restricted to 100
Appropriate Emergency Lighting shall be maintained at the premises.
All escape routes shall be clearly marked and kept free from obstruction.
A person who is nominated for the purpose of taking control in the event of a fire, fire alarm, emergency or event which may effect the safety of persons attending the premises shall be on and in charge of the premises at all times when any licensable activity is being provided. That person shall be responsible for calling the Fire Service in the event of any fire and that person shall also be responsible for meeting the Fire Service and guiding them to the fire.
There shall be maintained on the premises at all times an adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials.
A clear, legible and conspicuous notice requesting patrons to avoid causing noise, nuisance or disturbance to local residents shall be displayed.
Loading of unloading of goods shall take place at times that shall not cause a nuisance to neighbours.
Annex 3 - Conditions attached after a hearing by the Licensing Authority
All staff shall receive suitable training in relation to the proof of age scheme to be applied upon the premises. Records to evidence this will be made available to an authorised officer upon request
Appropriate measures shall be taken to ensure staff prevent the removal of bottles or glasses from the curtilage and grounds of the licensed premises.
Only toughened glass vessels are used to dispense beverages to customers.
At least one personal licence holder will be available while the supply or sale of alcohol is being undertaken (who’s identity will be known to all other staff engaged in the supply or sale of alcohol) except in the case of emergency.
Another member of staff shall be nominated to act for the Designated Premises Supervisor, in their absence, whose identity is known by all other staff when such absence occurs
Risk assessments carried out by or on behalf of the Licence holder which relate to a licensing objective will be available for inspection by an officer or a Responsible Authority
The volume of amplified sound used in connection with entertainment shall at all times be under the control of the licensee or management and the controlling mechanism shall be operated from a part of the premises inaccessible to the public.
Frequent collection of glasses and bottles will be undertaken to ensure that empty containers do not accumulate in or around the licensed premises.
