ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS
No supply of alcohol may be made under this licence
a. at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of it or,
b. at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended
Every retail sale or supply of alcohol made under this licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
The admission of children under the age of 18 to film exhibitions permitted under the terms of this licence shall be restricted in accordance with any recommendations made
by
() the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) where the film has been classified by that Board, or
() the Licensing Authority where no classification certificate has been granted by the BBFC or where the licensing authority has notified the licence holder that section 20 (3) (b) of the Licensing Act 2003 applies to the film.
ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
The Mandarin @ restaurant Ltd shall be committed to ensure that all staff understand the social responsibilities associated with the sale of intoxicating liquor.
Staff shall not be permitted to consume alcoholic drinks during working hours.
The Premises Licence Holder shall provide a wide choice of non alcoholic drinks, i,e, Chauffeurs choice, low alochol drinks
Measures shall be made to prevent customers leaving restaurant with beer bottles unless they have been re-corked or re-capped.
Person who are drunk or appear to be drunk shall not be permitted in the premises.
Staff shall refuse to serve dinning customer who are drunk.
There shall be CCTV installed at the premises covering the restaurant area.
There shall be no discounted drinks promotions, such as buy one get one free.
The premises licence holder shall maintain a log recording incidents at or near the restaurant.
Adequate training shall be provided to staff to ensure compliance with licensing law.
All windows and doors shall be kept closed.
Air-conditioning shall be provided at the premises to compensate for the closure of windows.
Depositing of empty glass bottles shall not be carried out after 10pm.
The Premises shall be equipped with commercial bins with tight lids to prevent noxious smells.
There shall be training off all restaurant staff to ensure compliance with licensing law in relation to comsumption of alcohol by persons under 18 years of age, including prevention of adults buying alcohol for children.
A log shall be maintained detailing refusals or challenges in relation to the Challenge 21 proof of age scheme..
Children shall only be served if accompanied by a responsible adults.
ANNEX 3 - CONDITIONS ATTACHED AFTER A HEARING BY THE LICENSING AUTHORITY
Meals and substantial refreshment will be available at all times the premises are open to the public.
Intoxicating liquor shall be sold or supplied only to persons who are seated at tables or to persons who are waiting to be seated at a table.
Off sales from the premises shall be only in sealed containers. Any unfinished bottles of wine must be re-corked before being taken away from the premises.
The licence holder is to support and rigorously enforce the Challenge 21 Proof of Age Policy. Any person who looks or appears to be under the age of 21 shall be asked to provide identification that they are over the age of 18. The following are the only forms of identification acceptable: UK photo driving licence, passport, Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card, or any other nationally or locally approved card which may be introduced in the future.
At least one personal licence holder shall be contactable while the sale or supply of alcohol is being undertaken (whose identity will be known to all other staff engaged in the supply or supply of alcohol except in the case of an emergency.
Another member of staff shall be nominated to act for the Designated Premises Supervisor, in their absence, whose identity is known by all other staff when such absence occurs.
