ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS
No supply of alcohol may be made under this licence
a. at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of it or,
b. at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended
Every retail sale or supply of alcohol made under this licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
A CCTV system shall be installed in the premises.
The Premises Licence Holder shall employ plain clothes store detectives who shall make unannounced store visits.
There shall be two cash till supervisors on duty.
The cash tills shall register a prompt when an age sensitive item, including alcohol, is passed through for payment alerting the cashier for the need to ensure that the person to whom the item is being sold is over 18 years of age.
There shall be staff training to ensure that there is no sale of alcohol to any person aged under 18 years of age which shall be comprehensive and ongoing. New members of staff shall be inducted under a training scheme which applies to all stores within the group and includes the sale of alcohol.
The premises shall not allow the sale of liquor to any person who appears to be drunk.
Staff shall be trained in the need to avoid making any sale of alcohol to any person who is drunk.
The premises shall benefit from regular risk assessments and health and safety checks.
In the event of a fire, fire exits shall be immediately available and maintained clear at all times.
The premises shall benefit from Public Liability Insurance.
Fire safety equipment shall be maintained and certificated in accordance with required standards and intervals.
Notices shall be displayed in the premises warning that any person under 18 years of age is not permitted to purchase liquor.
The premises shall operate a “Challenge 21” policy by which any person who is suspected of being under 21 years of age will be requested to provide evidence of ID. Should this not be forthcoming or should the ID produced not be considered to be satisfactory, the sale shall be refused.
